Touching new Fettuccine

When Olanzo Carver dropped his ‘Black Spring’ EP in 2016, it was a 6 song, 22-minute warning shot. He was here and he was only getting started. Singles ‘Snow’ in 2018, ‘Basalisk’ in 2019, and ‘Muscle’ in 2021 prove that Zo would not be one and done.

Everything he’s done before leads us here, to ‘Fettuccine’. A track that sneaks into your ear from the jump and doesn’t let you go, even after it ends at the 3:32 mark. Carver’s steady, razor-sharp lyricism and delivery, coupled with deft production give ‘Fettuccine’ an everyday vibe. A vibe that will have you listening to this track on repeat Sunday-Saturday. It’s not just a great song to listen to. It’s got this undefinable quality that just makes you feel like you can do that thing you weren’t sure you could do. It’s motivating in a way that much of today’s music isn’t.

Every single since ‘Black Spring’ displays Carver’s steady growth as an artist. And this latest composition exhibits an exponential leap that demonstrates that Olanzo Carver is on the verge of something special. His much anticipated full-length ‘TRAP’ might well be the masterpiece foreshadowed on his mixtape series ‘Weekly Entertainment. Listeners. Critics. Industry. You’ve been warned.
